KARANG INTAN – The Department of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Tourism (Disbudporapar) of Banjar Regency through the field of Youth conducts Entrepreneurial Youth Training, at the Muslimat NU Building, Alang River Village, Karang Intan District, Monday (2/2/2026).

The training themed “Youth and Economy: The Spirit of Entrepreneurs as a Youth Identity in the Role of Regional Development” was opened by the Head of Youth Division of Disbudporapar Muhari, accompanied by the Head of the Supriyadi Youth Empowerment and Development Section. This activity also presented speakers of Member of Commission II of the Banjar DPRD, M Ali Syahbana.

Representing the Head of Disbudporapar Banjar H Irwan Jaya, Muhari said this activity aims to increase the capacity and competitiveness of budding entrepreneurs, especially in realizing youth economic independence and encouraging the creation of jobs in Banjar Regency.

"According to the Regional Regulation of Banjar Regency Number 1 on Youth, youth as the next generation has a strategic role as an agent of change, renewal, and regional development," he said.

Muhari said Disbudporapar through the Field of Youth with the Empowerment and Youth Development Section continues to facilitate the capacity building and competitiveness of budding entrepreneurs.

"Through this training, it is expected to be a provision for youth to start and develop business and improve their knowledge and entrepreneurial skills towards independence," he hoped.

The same thing was conveyed by Supriyadi. He explained, the training was followed by 50 young men consisting of 25 men and 25 women from the village of Sungai Alang and surrounding areas in Karang Intan District.

"Hopefully the participants can actively contribute to the youth program and realize the role of youth as agents of change," he said.

Member of Commission II of the Banjar DPRD, M Ali Syahbana hopes the behavioral mindset of economics to change the bias of behavior into regional economic innovation opportunities, such as positive nudges that drive local consumption and sustainable entrepreneurship.

"Youth must be ready to lead change with empathy and collaboration, supporting regional economic development through rational decisions that maximize the potential of local resources," he said.

While the Bending of Sungai Alang Village, Miftahul Khair, hopes that through this training the youth, especially in Karang Intan District, can be more productive and able to adapt to the times.
